Funding 

Kids Abloom Therapy provides services to NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. We can not currently see participants who are NDIA-managed.

Kids Abloom Therapy has access to two types of funding under Medicare.

Chronic Disease Management Plan

Item number 10958 

To gain access to this plan (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care Plan) you will first need to see your GP who will determine your eligibility. These plans are intended for people who have chronic medical conditions that last 6 months or more and require the support of a multidisciplinary team. If eligible, your GP will write a referral that will then be signed off by your therapist.

This plan provides 5 allied health sessions in total per calendar year. The rebate is approximately $52.95 per session, but you should contact Medicare to discuss further. This plan is renewed yearly.

Helping Children with Autism and Better Start for Children with Disability Initiative

To gain access to this plan you will first need to confirm with your specialist, GP or consultant physician that your child has a diagnosed eligible disability. This plan entitles children with ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Hearing Impairment or Visual Impairment access to Medicare rebates. If eligible, you will need to provide a referral to your therapist that will be then signed off on.

This plan provides up to 4 assessment sessions and up to 20 treatments sessions for children under the age of 13, and up to 20 treatment sessions for children over the age of 15. The rebate is approximately $74.80 per session, but you should contact Medicare to discuss further. This plan is a lifetime benefit.

Claiming the rebate
Unfortunately we can not directly claim the rebate. Instead you will be required to pay for the session in full and then make your claim once we have provided you with your receipt. This will be emailed to you promptly after the session. The claim can be made at your local Medicare centre, online or via the Medicare smartphone app.

Kids Abloom Therapy can process two types of sessions under most private health care funds.

100 Individual Assessment Session
200 Individual Treatment Session- Subsequent to Initial 

We are registered with most private health funds. However, it is important to contact your health fund prior to attending your first assessment/therapy session to confirm your eligibility for a rebate.
